“S” iPhones Get the Most Software Updates
I never noticed this before but you want the most number of major iOS updates go with an ’S’ iPhone. They get the same number or one more year of updates over the non-S iPhones.
I will be interested to see whether the iPhone 6s and iPhone SE are supported by iOS 14. Given how well they currently perform, it seems like they could be. Launching apps is one of the slowest things, and that’s greatly improved in iOS 13.

The Apple A8 : Its first appearance was in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, which were introduced on September 9, 2014. A year later it would drive the iPad Mini 4.On February 9, 2018 Apple released the HomePod, which is powered by an Apple A8 with 1 GB of RAM.

Apple, up until now, would drop only one chipset with an iOS release. iOS 13 is not only dropping all A7 devices but also all A8 iPhones. A8(x) iPads have 2 GB of RAM, which seems to have been the minimum for iOS 13. My hope is that iOS 14, at most, just removes the rest of the A8 devices.
