audioOS 27
Juli Clover (no release notes):
HomePod Software 27 adds AirPlay improvements and support for AutoMix when listening to Apple Music.
AirPlay improvements may sound like a minor change, but in practice they can make a big difference in connecting quicker than ever to your HomePod. Using the iOS 27 beta, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how fast and easy it is now to switch playback to and from my iPhone and HomePod.

Naturally Apple would skip Siri AI, which could just go to the cloud, on the device that desperately needs it most.
My favorite is when I ask it something, it beats my phone, then says it found something if I ask on my phone when it could just read the damn answer.
I’m sure we’ll need to buy all new hardware for it to finally live up to what it was meant to always do: be useful as a voice driven machine.
Similarly, my watch now can’t do anything with Siri offline. Not that it could ever do much.
