Apple today announced the new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6, delivering even more performance, powerful on-device AI capabilities, and faster connectivity for college students, business users, creators, and more. The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6 starts at $1,999 and $1,899 with education savings.
The base configuration has 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD.
This tier of MacBook Pro has only ever been offered in the smaller 14-inch size. Prices seem unchanged from the post-June-price-hike M5 models[…]
According to Apple’s tech specs page, the option for 16GB of unified memory remains limited to 153GB/s. That’s identical to the M5 version, while only the new 24GB and 32GB configurations receive the faster 170GB/s memory bandwidth.
How much has changed, and is it worth upgrading or choosing the newer model?
