macOS 26.5.1

Why would a specific set of Mac devices shut down "when using certain content-filtering network extensions"?

It's well known that the Network Extension framework is a terrible framework but why a shutdown instead of a classic KP?

@someone iPads and iPhones don't give a classic Kernel Panic, and AS Macs are just iPads; the actual bug is probably that the purely decorative, cosmetic KP behaviour isn't triggering.

Maybe some VP was promised a bonus if he could "eliminate kernel panics".

Kind of annoying that they pushed this out for all Macs instead of targeting M5 machines.

Nothing in here worthy of me doing a system restart, yet I'm going to be getting pestered across all my machines.
