Privileges 2.0
SAP has released a new major version of their open source Privileges app. This tool provides macOS standard user accounts with a way to request administrator rights. Privileges 2.x includes a number of new features not available in Privileges 1.x and in particular fulfills two particular long-standing requests from its user community:
- It provides a unified mechanism for time-limited admin rights.
- SAP now provides a signed and notarized installer package for deployment.
The relevant preference domain and key values are listed below:
- Preference domain: corp.sap.privileges
- Key: ExpirationInterval
- Value: Positive Integer

Privileges 2.0.0 quits unexpectedly. Crashes when trying to open it in macOS 13.7.1 (22H221) Ventura on Mac (Intel).
It is even worse than that. After installing and trying to open Privileges 2.0.0 as indicated above, the Mac automatically changed the Admin account to Standard. And even worse, after deleting the ".AppleSetupDone" to revert such unwanted change as shown here
Fix for loss of admin privileges after updating to Ventura

the very same issue has arisen. Fortunately I created two Admin accounts (the older one and a new one) to revert the older Standard to Admin again without having to delete ".AppleSetupDone".
SHOCKING, SHOCKING, SHONCKING!!! How can this be fixed??? Thanks!
