I love older tech bits like this as you never know when it will became immediately useful. I remember reading old threads about rsync, psync, ditto etc. when it came to backing up OS X disks when I had questions about such things in the later post Intel Mac era. Those old threads really laid out a nice timeline of the history behind these tools and why there was such a discussion....darn resource forks and such. Ha!
