Apple Passes Wal-Mart

Ars Technica reports that Apple’s iTunes store is now the largest seller of music in the US. I think I know how Pauline Kael felt in 1972.

You know when you say things like that, you send lots of us scurrying off to Wikipedia.

Even then, it's still hard to know if you are referring to her feeling of Nixon's victory, or trying to win the right to review Deep Throat.

Isn’t it more fun that way? Anyway, to be clear, I was thinking of the Nixon victory. A lot of people seem to be doing it, but in my world there’s no reason to buy music from iTunes.
