Firefly Cancelled
Not surprisingly, Fox has cancelled its brilliant show Firefly, after placing it in the 8 PM Friday slot, withholding its pilot, airing the initial episodes out of order, pre-empting it with baseball, and failing to advertise it. Joss Whedon promises not to give up, but if the show does come back it won’t be until next fall. Mac guy Jason Snell has written the best eulogy I’ve seen.
Thanks to the cast and everyone at Mutant Enemy. Your work has brought me much laughter and joy.
What to do now? Why enjoy “Objects in Space,” of course—it starts in five minutes.

Those idiots that make the decisions at FOX ought to be fired. Firefly was a show with real promise. Better than any other sci-fi show on tv today. Even with the way the show was piloted, and under marketed, it still did well, and presented it's viewers with that "you'll never know what's going to happen this week" if you don't watch. Besides the recipe for modern day sci-fi tv shows is pretty simple. You need Space, Hot Chics, ok dialogue, and good old fashion action scenes.
Why do Fox always do this to the best shows? The gusy in charge of these stupid decisions should be SHOT.
Some friends were talking about a cancelled show
called Firefly. I went to imdb.com, found the
reviews intriguing and purchased the boxed set.
The stories, characters, dialog -- It was so
well done I can not believe that it is over. I
watch the SCIFI channel a lot, and I never saw
a single show when broadcasted. This show was
never adequately promoted. If enough people buy
the boxed set, or make enough chatter on the net
maybe it will come back.
I just discovered firefly. What a show! What a bummer it was cancelled! What can you do?

We just saw the movie - Serenity - loved it so much we ordered all of the available discs from Netflix. We just watched the last episode and feel so totally sad that there's no more :-(
I went online to find out why it was canceled and just don't get it...it's a great show, great plots, great characters, incredibly funny lines and action galore. It has to be the studio/producer. Are they NUTS??? It's 2009 - bring it back!!! Bring it back!!! Bring it back!!!
Firefly WAS the best show on the network hands down...the fact that john doe survived cuts will baffle me till' the end of time. They really need to bring it back...it would be stupid not to, but that seems folly because they cut it in the first place condemning their intelligence.
