Tabbing Shortcuts

Michael Sheets shows which keyboard shortcuts work in which editors and Web browsers. It looks like this is slowly becoming standardized on Command-{ and Command-}.

Update: Rui Carmo:

There is an entire world out there that doesn’t use US keyboards and where both Apple and third-party developers have royally screwed up hotkey assignments…

I wholeheartedly second Rui’s sentiment!

"Michael Sheets shows which keyboard shortcuts work in which editors and Web browsers."

This is why I consider QuicKeys to be no-brainer indispensable OS X software. Set up your own consistent keyboard shortcuts in every similar app. An hour of setup, followed by years of happy computing.

(I don't imagine QuicKeys will ever make it into the Mac AppStoreOfDoom. Too many private API's, I'd imagine. So sales will fall, and eventually the project will be abandoned on the platform, or Apple will just apply the full-monty lockdown in a few years. Heckuva job, Cupertino. Keep cranking out those game consoles.)
