I’m a Hider

Brent Simmons:

Me, I usually have a few applications open at a time, like most people, and I tend to leave them running. I’ve noticed that different people do different things when switching applications. Some people close their windows, other people minimize, and other people hide applications.

I like the idea of Exposé, but since hidden windows don’t show up in it, I don’t find myself using it very much.

I agree about Exposé. That's the main the reason why I'm not minimising many things. Including minimised windows in Exposé could make minimisation useful again.

P.S. As NewsFire is quite picky about this, there's something fishy with yours RSS feed. Looks like &rsquot; isn't allowed in XML. http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http://mjtsai.com/blog/feed/rss2/

Is there a proper way to put smart quotes into RSS? It seems like WordPress should be handling this for me...

I hide some, but not all background apps too. However, I use Exposé frequently within the same app (F10) and to see the Desktop (F11).

What I would really like to see is the ability to make the current app's windows slide out (ala F11) so I can quickly view the app behind it.
