@gone_east Thanks for the great app.
@cocoalabs Congrats!
@OmniFocus The interesting thing in my case was the the iPhone client wasn’t stale, yet it hadn’t compacted in a long time, either.
@wklj I generally like the way the syncing works.
@tofias @OmniFocus I think it usually happens automatically. But somehow my phone got into an odd state with 92 KB split across 4362 files.
Thanks to @OmniFocus support. Unregistering and registering my iPhone got it to compact the database and made syncing much faster.
@nychen Thanks for the follow-up. I would do that except that my Kindle doesn’t have 3G. Instapaper support hasn’t replied in two weeks. :-(
@gittower Would really like to see better support for file history, i.e. drag a file onto the Dock icon and show a window with commit list.
@nychen @bzigterman @instapaper Did you ever figure this out? I'm still getting "Instapaper has Moved" errors on my Kindle.
I don’t really need to see the Time Machine icon spinning in my menu bar, because I can just move the mouse and see whether it’s jerky.
@cocoalabs Yeah, that would be fine with me.
@cocoalabs It’s helpful to know when your MicroCell has been acquired.
@splorp Understood. I’m considering that. Currently the best option is to run the drone setup on a Mac: c-command.com/spamsieve/manu…
@splorp I see, so you want something that talks to your IMAP server, not something that necessarily runs on the mail server?
@splorp What kind of server would you want to run it on?
I like the direction of the iOS 7 design, but I think it needs to be toned down a bit, like this: dribbble.com/shots/1109343-…
@abrahamvegh I know. But there are lots of existing Macs with Thunderbolt, so in theory something like that could already exist.
Is there a good non-RAID Thunderbird chassis for adding drive bays to the new Mac Pro?
No mention of sharing documents with iWork for iCloud.
@bwebster Another thing you can’t do with Core Data…
@bwebster Makes sense. Speaking of the DB, it looks like Aperture uses a separate copy of SQLite that’s in an iLife framework?
@bwebster Yeah. Did it cause problems for your app when they changed the iPhoto backend?
@bwebster Aperture. It’s been going for almost an hour already on an SSD. Still only 57% done.
What a great time to [RKDatabaseComponent saveAllInfoDictionariesWithProgress:] and no cancel button.
Good to know that Washington’s keeping a backup of those FileVault recovery keys in case Apple’s server goes down.
Today’s eBook Deal of the Day is Erika Sadun’s “iOS Auto Layout Demystified.” http://t.co/fSx3M5UmZz
@retrophisch Congrats!
