Loving that Preview in Snow Leopard will reload a modified PDF file without having to close and then reopen it.
DiskWarrior found "critical" problems w/ my clone, so I erased it and made another, and then it found more. Hence the DG media scan.
Drive Genius: "Approximately 2.31 hours remaining."
@bbum I get that that's the rule, but is there a good reason for the contract to allow such scribbling?
@bbum Sorry, I don't follow. I think you may have a different case in mind...
@bbum How about both? Because it's easy to always initialize errors but harder to remember to check all receivers.
@bbum Setting the error to nil is good because that way you avoid a crash if the method returned nil because of an unexpectedly nil receiver
@kevinhoctor Yeah, that happened to me recently. I had to use postal mail...
Kensington's DomeHub only seems to have enough power for one USB drive.
@ccgus Not a solution, but the inline find panel annoyed me less once I assigned a keyboard shortcut to hide it.
@leebennett Yeah. Mine always opens the window in the upper left, and small.
Too bad iCal doesn't remember where to put the separate event window. That makes the feature pretty much useless.
@ccgus Yep, still there. :-( Maybe it's my imagination, but they seem less frequent than in 10.6.1.
Lots of weird Mail console errors stopped after I disabled the Exchange account.
@grynspan Yeah, the problem is that it's easy to forget. I've taken to adding categories to prevent that, but didn't have one for this case.
When the string is nil, it looks like -caseInsensitiveCompare: has returned NSOrderedSame. I think I've been bitten by this before. :-(
@ctp I just wish fn were in the same place on notebook and desktop keyboards.
@sanguish Great movie. Cox is creepier than Hopkins, IMO.
@jessegrosjean AppKit bug introduced in 10.6.
@danielpunkass Ha! That inverts the Google situation. "We haven't actually approved it; we merely haven't rejected it yet."
@siegel I suspect it may be, but I can't put my finger on why.
For those arguing that Apple is in the right, are you saying that all VNC clients should be rejected, too? http://bit.ly/1JHlca
Got a TFSVolumeInfo crash in Safari on 10.6.2. Thought this was fixed. Oh well.
@LKM Now it really looks more like Dashboard.
@bsneed Base is pretty nice: http://menial.co.uk/soft...
Getting reports of 10.6.2 messing with people's Mail rules.
Running into the bug where iTunes won't play music videos.
At last, 10.6.2 seems to fix the quarantine bug that prevent opening multiple files at once.
@danielpunkass All the "just a printer" HPs I've used have been great, too.
@jamesthomson Same here. I can't even get mine to print or copy anymore. Worst computer product I've ever bought.
@dnanian I think it may have been that long for me a few times. I sampled it one time and got a bunch of network user account stuff...
@cortig It's been taking 15 seconds or so (first launch after login) since updating to 10.6.
Added Dictionary to my login items because it's so slow to launch the first time.
@peternlewis The 13-inch MacBook Pro has FireWire and a better screen.
@danielpunkass But you don't need a run loop for an autorelease pool.
R.I.P. @djgraphite
