And, unlike with Microsoft and Internet Explorer, Apple doesn&rsquo;t even let users change the default maps app (nor Web browser). There&rsquo;s a sort of <a href=\"http:\/\/arstechnica.com\/staff\/2011\/03\/the-apple-strategy-tax\/\">strategy tax<\/a> at work here.
