{"id":7923,"date":"2013-09-20T14:20:34","date_gmt":"2013-09-20T19:20:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mjtsai.com\/blog\/?p=7923"},"modified":"2015-05-20T16:45:45","modified_gmt":"2015-05-20T20:45:45","slug":"my-new-iphone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mjtsai.com\/blog\/2013\/09\/20\/my-new-iphone\/","title":{"rendered":"My New iPhone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I ended up ordering an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/iphone-5s\/\">iPhone 5s<\/a> (32 GB, Space Gray, AT&amp;T, with <a href=\"http:\/\/store.apple.com\/us\/product\/MF030ZM\/A\/iphone-5s-dock\">dock<\/a>) to replace my 4S (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B005SSBCDI\/?tag=michaeltsai-20\">traded in<\/a> to Amazon for $227.75 in gift cards, amazingly; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2013\/09\/20\/how-to-sell-iphone_n_3957791.html\">other options here<\/a>). I&rsquo;m giving the cheaper <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B009SYZ8OC\/?tag=michaeltsai-20\">AmazonBasics Lightning cable<\/a> a try; it also comes in multiple lengths. Most of the time, I put the iPhone in my pocket without a case. However, for hiking, skiing, or just throwing it in a bag, I&rsquo;ve long used a Timbuk2 ballistic nylon, velcro flap case with a belt loop. Alas, what seems to be the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timbuk2.com\/tb2\/products\/3way-accessory-case\/1914323\">current version of this case<\/a>, is ugly, and the two sizes are either too short or too wide for the iPhone 5\/5s\/5c. I&rsquo;ve thus gone with WaterField Designs&rsquo; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfbags.com\/products\/iphone-cases\/smartcase-iphone.php\">iPhone Smart Case<\/a>, which has a detachable belt clip.
