Windows as a standalone app. However, you can still access powerful productivity features in Windows and Edge, which have increased AI capabilities.<\/p><p>[&#8230;]<\/p><p>This change only impacts Cortana in Windows, and your productivity assistant, Cortana, will continue to be available in <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-au\/topic\/what-can-you-do-with-play-my-emails-from-cortana-5ea7f3df-02cd-2524-f775-f3c89316367b\">Outlook mobile<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-au\/office\/using-cortana-voice-assistance-in-teams-274bb2f0-d962-4182-b45d-307435cea256\">Teams mobile<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-au\/office\/using-cortana-voice-assistance-in-teams-274bb2f0-d962-4182-b45d-307435cea256\">Microsoft Teams display<\/a>, and <a Copilot has a totally different backend than Cortana, but if it takes text as input I wonder why they don&rsquo;t do text-to-speech and let you control it by voice.<\/p>\n\n<p><a coming weeks.<\/p><p>[&#8230;]<\/p><p>Seeing what other companies are achieving with generative AI, I do think it&rsquo;s time for Apple to give up on Siri and focus its efforts on new technologies.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>It seems like in this case Microsoft is doing things the Apple way (making a clean break) and Apple is doing things the Microsoft way (improving the old
