If I go to the right months I can see the events there, but they don&rsquo;t appear in the search results list. This is a <a href=\"https:\/\/discussions.apple.com\/thread\/3253731?start=0&amp;tstart=0\">big problem<\/a>! So far, I&rsquo;ve noticed:<\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>The events do appear in the search results on my iPhone.<\/li>\r\n<li>Deleting the file <tt>~\/Library\/Calendars\/Calendar Cache<\/tt> didn&rsquo;t help.<\/li>\r\n<li>The events do not appear in Spotlight search results from the Finder.<\/li>\r\n<li>According to a BBEdit search, there do not seem to be <tt>.ics<\/tt> files for these events in the folder <tt>~\/Library\/Calendars\/&laquo;UUID&raquo;.calendar\/Events\/<\/tt> or in an iCal export.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p>I suppose the solution is to get iCal to regenerate the <tt>.ics<\/tt> files in the <tt>Events<\/tt> folder, but I&rsquo;m not sure how best to do this. Apple has instructions for <a href=\"http:\/\/support.apple.com\/kb\/ts2481\">resetting Sync Services<\/a>, but I worry that this would cause it to overwrite the Sync Services database with the incomplete <tt>.ics<\/tt> files, whereas I want to do the reverse.<\/p>\r\n<p>Update (2011-10-13): Alas, Mac OS X 10.7.2 did not fix the search problem.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&rsquo;ve recently discovered that iCal&rsquo;s search is not showing me all of the matches.
