This eventually resolved itself in Finder and in open\/save panels, but I still see incorrect icons in apps such as BBEdit, EagleFiler, TextEdit, and the Dock. PDF files show a blank document icon. Text files show the generic Mac text file icon, rather than the document icon from the app that they are set to open in.<\/p>\n\n<p>This is only occurring on one of my Macs, but I&rsquo;m <a href=\"https:\/\/forums.macrumors.com\/threads\/blank-icons.2367984\/\">not<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/aonez\/Keka\/issues\/1177\">alone<\/a>. Doing a <a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-us\/HT201262\">safe boot<\/a>, resetting the <a href=\"https:\/\/mjtsai.com\/blog\/2019\/02\/01\/clearing-the-icon-services-cache-in-mojave\/\">icon services cache<\/a>, and rebuilding <a href=\"https:\/\/eclecticlight.co\/2017\/08\/11\/launch-services-database-problems-correcting-and-rebuilding\/\">Launch Services<\/a> didn&rsquo;t help. Nor did clearing <tt>$TMPDIR<\/tt> and the <tt>Caches<\/tt> folders. Unless there&rsquo;s some other cache I need to reset, this seems like a bug in Ventura. It&rsquo;s easily reproducible outside of these apps, just by calling <code>NSWorkspace.icon(forFileType:)<\/code> or <code>NSWorkspace.icon(forFile:)<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n<p id=\"blank-file-icons-in-ventura-update-2022-12-23\">Update (2022-12-23): <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alfredforum.com\/topic\/19320-file-icons-not-appearing-since-upgrading-to-macos-ventura\/#comment-100671\">vitor<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/www.alfredforum.com\/topic\/19320-file-icons-not-appearing-since-upgrading-to-macos-ventura\/#comment-100671\">\n<p>It&rsquo;s a Ventura bug. Some of my file types are also affected but it&rsquo;s not just Alfred, they don&rsquo;t show up in Spotlight either.
