Preview can still be used to open these files on macOS Monterey and earlier. Apple did not provide a reason for the change.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This is sad, since I have tons of these files. Interestingly, the frameworks still seem to support them, as they still display properly in third-party apps such as <a href=\"https:\/\/c-command.com\/eaglefiler\/\">EagleFiler<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/skim-app.sourceforge.io\">Skim<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p id=\"preview-drops-support-for-postscript-files-update-2023-02-21\">Update (2023-02-21): <a href=\"https:\/\/robservatory.com\/open-postscript-files-in-preview-in-macos-ventura\/\">Rob Griffiths<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/robservatory.com\/open-postscript-files-in-preview-in-macos-ventura\/\"><p>But this now fails because Preview won&rsquo;t parse the PostScript file.
