The user is locked out of their data.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>This is especially relevant since Mojave didn&rsquo;t get the latest round of security bug fixes. He recommends updating to Catalina first, and then to Big Sur.<\/p>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ranvel\/status\/1444247689508663299\">Scott<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ranvel\/status\/1444247689508663299\">\n<p>This sounds like the issue \n<a href=\"https:\/\/lapcatsoftware.com\/articles\/macBS.html\">@lapcatsoftware experienced in August<\/a>. Crazy to imagine it is still a known issue since that is the suggested upgrade path for the now unsupported Mojave.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ClassicII_MrMac\/status\/1444308432975183879\">Mr. Macintosh<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ClassicII_MrMac\/status\/1444308432975183879\">\n<p>The issue is confirmed on Big Sur versions all the way back to 11.4.
