Restarting Messages.app doesn&rsquo;t fix that. Clicking on a conversation sometimes replays the messages with a &ldquo;new message arrived&rdquo; notification sound for each message.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>iMessage stopped syncing my conversations&rsquo; unread status around the time I updated to Catalina.
