{"id":31728,"date":"2021-02-25T20:29:40","date_gmt":"2021-02-26T01:29:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mjtsai.com\/blog\/?p=31728"},"modified":"2022-11-10T08:28:25","modified_gmt":"2022-11-10T13:28:25","slug":"macos-11-2-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mjtsai.com\/blog\/2021\/02\/25\/macos-11-2-2\/","title":{"rendered":"macOS 11.2.2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2021\/02\/25\/apple-releases-macos-big-sur-11-2-2\/\">Juli Clover<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2021\/02\/25\/apple-releases-macos-big-sur-11-2-2\/\">\n<p>According to Apple&rsquo;s release notes, the  macOS Big Sur  update prevents 2019 or later MacBook Pro models and 2020 or later MacBook Air models from being damaged when connected to certain third-party, non-compliant powered USB-C hubs and docks.<\/p>\n<p>There have been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/macbook\/comments\/kge24m\/dead_m1_mac_with_usbc_multiport_adapters\/\">several reports<\/a> on Reddit from Mac users who have connected USB-C hubs and docks to their machines, resulting in the machine becoming non-functional. Affected Macs appear to go blank and unresponsive shortly after connecting the dock.
