Companies that violate that rule, the spokesperson said, are subject to revocation of their accounts. Clearview has 14 days to respond to Apple.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2020\/02\/28\/apple-ban-clearview-iphone\/\">Zack Whittaker<\/a> (via <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/panzer\/status\/1233485195459878912\">Matthew Panzarino<\/a>):<\/p>\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2020\/02\/28\/apple-ban-clearview-iphone\/\"><p>The app allows its users &mdash; which the company claims it serves only law enforcement officers &mdash; to use their phone camera or upload a photo to search its database of 3 billion photos.
