The two men appeared together on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/forbes\/1999\/0125\/6302088a.html#1d9183b05c86\">cover of Forbes magazine<\/a> in 1999 &mdash; and both Christensen and the business world were changed forever.<\/p>\n<p>[&#8230;]<\/p>\n<p>Grove told Christensen he mislabeled his theory. Instead of innovative technologies, Grove suggested, Christensen should have used &ldquo;crummy technologies.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;A disruptive innovation looks inferior,&rdquo; Gilbert said, &ldquo;but only to the incumbent organizations.
