Podcasts were &ldquo;back&rdquo; in 2012, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.socialmediaexaminer.com\/podcasting-renaissance-is-podcasting-making-a-comeback\/\"><em>Social Media Examiner<\/em><\/a>, and also in 2014, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/business\/technology\/podcasts-are-back--and-making-money\/2014\/09\/25\/54abc628-39c9-11e4-9c9f-ebb47272e40e_story.html\"><em>Washington Post<\/em><\/a>. 2005 was the &ldquo;year of the podcast&rdquo;, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/slate.com\/news-and-politics\/2005\/12\/the-year-of-the-podcast.html\"><em>Slate<\/em><\/a>. Podcasting seems perpetually mainstream and, also, simultaneously on the verge of death.<\/p>\n<p>Much as I think this story subject is well worn, there&rsquo;s plenty of research in Miller&rsquo;s article that helps provide a sort of status update on the podcasting industry.
