So naturally, and only a few hours later (sorry for the delay), I&rsquo;ve got a <a href=\"http:\/\/flyingmeat.com\/download\/latest\/\">pre-release version of Acorn<\/a> which supports it.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>We thought this would be in macOS 10.13.0, but better late than never. However:<\/p>\n<blockquote cite=\"http:\/\/shapeof.com\/archives\/2018\/1\/hello_heif.html\">\n<p>Apple&rsquo;s encoders both on iOS and MacOS only support 8 bits per channel.
