To me, what&rsquo;s important about the article is that it&rsquo;s a reminder of how much most tech journalism sucks, even when it&rsquo;s factual. I&rsquo;d much rather read an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tidbits.com\">informed<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.macjournals.com\">opinion<\/a> (which I might not agree with) than an &ldquo;objective&rdquo; news story that takes sides by omitting half the story.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\nUpdate (2013-02-16): The blogs are down, but <a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20040121125841\/http:\/\/rescomp.stanford.edu\/~ejalbert\/archives\/2003\/01\/27.html#001042\">Eric Albert<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20031222155100\/http:\/\/www.plaidworks.com\/chuqui\/blog\/000209.html\">Chuq Von Rospach\u2019s<\/a> posts are available from the Internet Archive.\r\n<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chuq Von Rospach and Eric Albert are Apple guys, so they&rsquo;re not impartial, but their thoughts on the News.com Opera article are dead-on.
