Along with expected bug fixes, the update&rsquo;s biggest addition was support for the upcoming Apple Watch. It&rsquo;s a fact that users are now being bonked over the head with thanks to the creation of a dedicated, mandatory app.<\/p>\n<p>[&#8230;]<\/p>\n<p>Apple faces two major rivals who produce both smartwatches and smartphones, but both Google and Samsung have elected to ask owners&nbsp;of <a href=\"http:\/\/arstechnica.com\/gadgets\/2015\/01\/signs-of-progress-one-month-with-android-wear-5-0\/\">Android Wear<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/arstechnica.com\/gadgets\/2014\/04\/review-we-wear-samsungs-galaxy-gear-and-galaxy-fit-so-you-dont-have-to\/\">Samsung Gear<\/a> (respectively) to log into their exclusive app shops and download a free, optional app to support their wearables.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This totally unsurprising after the <a href=\"http:\/\/mjtsai.com\/blog\/2014\/09\/15\/removing-u2s-songs-of-innocence\/\">U2 promotion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/iljawascoding\/status\/575582717930250241\">Ilja A.
