@ATP_Tipster1 @gruber I’m also seeing issues with new Apple keyboards, starting with 10.12.2.
@lapcatsoftware :( Well, cool that you have a local archive.
@lapcatsoftware Does it archive Twitter? Or is it still caching your Twitter RSS feed from years ago?
@lapcatsoftware Which app is that?
@McCloudStrife Yep.

@mlilback Currently Fever, but I’ll be switching (maybe to something that uses the Fever API).
@mlilback Please contact me if you end up pursuing that.
@DocterD @weichsel I haven’t seen a good solution for that. I think you have to get to RSS Zero before switching.
@DocterD Sounds good.
@DocterD That doesn’t seem like a problem because I could just use cron. What do you mean by full feed parsing?
@DocterD Was not aware of that option. Will take a look. Thanks.
@lapcatsoftware Oh no, I think the Herbert one went over my head.

@daniel_a_a If DropDMG detects that the Finder is not saving the view settings, it will keep retrying until everything is saved properly.
@daniel_a_a Yes, if you need further assistance please e-mail dropdmg@c-command.com. Some settings and logging we could try.
@daniel_a_a Did you have Finder windows open prior to using DropDMG? If the dmg window is the only one, Finder will use it as template.
@daniel_a_a It’s normal for it to hide the status bar in the disk image’s window. Not the other windows.
@jsnell They really stay in amazingly well.
@charlesismcom Yeah, I can totally understand that.
@charlesismcom My headset BT issues were no sound, very delayed sound, spontaneous unpairing, no way to pause/resume from the headset.
Magic Keyboard works via Bluetooth after restarting Mac.
@charlesismcom Time will tell whether the switching between devices works well. But for regular iPhone use, AirPods already are improvement.
@charlesismcom I really dislike wired ones. So much so that I’ve been using a Bluetooth headset for music and podcasts for years.
@rosyna Exactly.
@rosyna Control Center does work. I’m not just in the habit of using it for Bluetooth.
@rosyna It does. I was referring to using the AirPods with my iPhone.
@ameaijou Yeah, I think it’s an OS issue, too. At least the Magic can work without Bluetooth, but even via Lightning there are some issues.
AirPods seem pretty comfortable. Had to manually switch to them in BT settings. Case is awesome. Controlling via Siri feels impossibly slow.
Typing now only works via Lightning.
Magic Keyboard #2 continues to malfunction. Plug in. Notification that wirelessly connected. Pref pane says connected; BT menu says not.

@z31r4m I’m wondering whether I’m seeing an OS bug. What are the odds of multiple defective keyboards?
@z31r4m Thanks for the recommendation. I was thinking about giving that one a try.
Received replacement Magic Keyboard. Still having issues with keys repeating.

@peternlewis Fixed. Thanks!
@jgordonshare So I’m not even sure why the master one works now.
@jgordonshare Now it works with the master password but not with the app-specific one. I had switched to app-specific because they made me.
@dancounsell The Kindle app has to link to a special version of the Amazon store that only lets you download free samples.
@dancounsell Does it go to the site with the Buy Now buttons? I agree the rule’s stupid, but it seems pretty clear that you’re violating it.
@dancounsell I sympathize (since you can’t IAP what someone else sells), but seems pretty clear to me that you aren’t supposed to do that.
@grynspan Agreed!
@objective_see It supported third-party until Sierra.
@CraicDesign That’s what I’m guessing, since it started with 10.12.2. Thinking of going back to the old USB keyboard for a while.
@CraicDesign Yes. Connect/disconnect, repeating keys, dropping keys. Plugging in is a quick fix but doesn’t always last, unfortunately.
Magic Keyboard issues seem to not be caused by Bluetooth because they also happen when it’s plugged in via Lightning.

@hbkirb @objective_see Apple doesn't support xip for third parties.
@qdoug Very slightly.

@lapcatsoftware Printers are very analogous. Interesting point because in my head the QuickTake and eWorld lasted much longer than they did.

@mjdrayton That fixed things immediately today. Then more glitches a few minutes later.
@steipete Nope.
Third time trying to upload this sysdiagnose to Radar.
@DonovanBond I use LaunchBar, so yes.
@camflan Yep, I’ve had constant Console spew from Keychain since installing Sierra.
@leebennett Nope. :( It’s an opaque process. I don’t know what I could do differently if I were updating again.
Lightroom reverted to 6.7 (via 6.0) and Auto Import and Synchronize Folder work again.
@mjdrayton No, but that’s a great tip. Thanks! Any different from rebooting?
@McCloudStrife Makes it easier to find and work around the new OS bugs that affect my apps.
@lapcatsoftware Yeah, seems like everything is broken today. :(
@nickheer The thing is it worked flawlessly for years. “It just works” -> “It used to work.”
@nickheer I don't find the new arrow key layout to be an improvement.
@nickheer Charging the Magic Keyboard works well. Otherwise, not that impressed. Still drops first character of FileVault password.
@nickheer This is actually why I got the Magic Keyboard recently. Problems stopped until 10.12.2.
Another problem since updating to macOS 10.12.2: Magic Keyboard is spontaneously disconnecting, dropping keys, and repeating keys.
Updated iPad to iOS 10.2, and it was removed as a trusted device because Apple thinks I erased it.
@McCloudStrife I didn’t know that. Thanks.
@SteveMoser Sounds like a lot of work to re-add everything, but I may end up having to do that.
macOS 10.12.2: Messages says app-specific password (even new one) is invalid. If use master Apple ID password, get “An error occurred…”
For example, copying a rectangular selection got the bounds slightly off in 10.12.0/1. Now it messes up the display and gets bounds way off.
Looks like some PDF bugs fixed 10.12.2, faster rendering, some 10.12 bugs remain, some new ones.
@mcelhearn @tweetbot Yeah, so Safari always fills in the one that I just reauthorized, not the one I need to reauthorize now.
@mcelhearn @tweetbot And then Safari auto-fills the wrong username because it has no way of knowing.
And, @1Password is saying it has sync problems, but I click Fix and it shows the prefs saying that it synced 3 seconds ago.
Good thing Safari still shows the URL so I can see the query parameter for the Twitter username that @tweetbot wants me to authorize…
And OmniFocus. I don’t understand what happened. Still lots of items in the keychain.
Updated to macOS 10.12.2 and my FileVault, iCloud, Tweetbot, and Fantastical passwords were all forgotten.
In macOS 10.12.2, tab characters no longer work in attributed menu item titles; displayed as garbage.
Although Synchronize Folder still isn't enabled on the internal drive.
Reverting to a backup of the Lightroom catalog seemed to fix it.
The Discrete GPU and You: mjtsai.com/blog/2016/12/1… #mjtsaiblog
Weird: All of a sudden Lightroom won’t auto import, auto import dialog raises exception, drag import doesn’t work, Sync Folder disabled.

AirPods ordered. Really curious to see whether they work as advertised (since Bluetooth doesn’t).
@JoshCalvetti I’m looking at "hw.model" with sysctl. I don’t know what flashing does to that.
@ianbeck In my case, the iPad hadn’t been touched in about 12 hours.
@pilky Yep.
@nickheer You are very charitable.
What does it mean that my iPad wanted me to log in for Activation Lock? Just a software bug? Someone trying to hack my account?
