@rentzsch It used to include just the pointer value for the userInfo. Changed in 10.8, I think.

@foresmac @rentzsch Objective-C only uses exceptions for programmer errors, and the frameworks aren't exception-clean.

@foresmac @rentzsch Yes, we're assuming that tuples can store nil.

@foresmac @rentzsch Not seeing how your example is different. In Cocoa, the result isn't always a BOOL. Is testing "error" that much better?
