@peternlewis In Notification Center.
@grynspan No, what I mean is that yesterday Mail used LCD font smoothing even though I had the preference off; today it’s not using LCD.
@petermaurer Yes. But I think this is a different problem. I never want to see LCD font smoothing anywhere.
Not sure what changed, but Mountain Lion Mail stopped using LCD font smoothing. Now if only Safari and PDF views would fall in line…
@siancu Does that just change NSQuitAlwaysKeepsWindows?
@dnanian This doesn’t affect compiled scripts, right?
@Adobe_Care I just got *another* Adobe Digital Marketing Suite e-mail!
@mhenders Good point!
@mhenders Interesting how they prevented that in Contacts by making the “new group” button hidden most of the time.
@Macgyyver “chat messages”?
@uliwitness Yeah, but I bought a 30-inch display because I wanted to be able to see 30 inches worth of points.
@foresmac @ArsInfiniteLoop It’s not the first days that matter but how many upgrade over time. Still lots of users on Snow Leopard.
@uliwitness *Maybe* I would consider that solved if it were possible to buy an external Retina display.
@ddribin .dmgs are checksummed, so you can actually check to make sure there’s no bit rot.
@tom__ I can’t vouch for that shell script, but the basic technique still works. Note that Mail’s pref file is now in its sandbox container.
@tom__ What do you mean by “spoof”? Are you referring to the Info.plist?
