@jsnell I agree with that formulation. But I thought I saw lots of talk about how one never needs to use the multitasking bar at all.
No more snickering about Geniuses and quitting apps, because it really works for iBooks 2.
@adamengst I've done that a few times as well. It fixed other problems with textbooks. Worth one more try, I guess.
@adamengst I'll take your word for it. On my iPad 1, landscape mode is an inoperable linen background.
@PaulTopping Figured as much. Glad to see that Apple intends for it to work, though.
@adamengst iBooks textbooks are paginated for you? I just get one long scrolling view.
@MathType Any comments on how it works with iBooks Author? Limitations? Tips?
@_karsten_ It does appear in the Help now; maybe some of the help content had to be downloaded. The screenshot is actually of Pages.
@_karsten_ Hmm. I wonder why searching for "equation" wasn't bringing up any hits before.
@danwood plutil -lint
I rebooted again, and now the sample iBooks works. Weird that you can't turn pages, though.
Interested to see the quality of the math typography. iBooks Author doesn't seem to have an equation editor…
@nriley I wonder if it's because I didn't buy the books, just downloaded the samples.
@nriley I saw the download progress bars complete. Don't see any other progress bars.
So I installed iBooks 2, but the textbooks I tried simply don't open. They just darken a little when tapped.
