@gittower It's great to see such continuous improvement.
Not sure why my 0.0.1 update took 17 days (15 of them "In Review"), but the Mac App Store versions are now up-to-date.
@fetchguy Thanks!
@ccgus General slow review process, plus complications from PyObjC (which references private and deprecated API, though I don't use them).
DropDMG and EagleFiler are now available from the Mac App Store: http://c-command.com/blo...
@simX It didn't fix AppleScript support, either.
@simX It didn't fix AppleScript support, either.
@rentzsch Interesting. Let us know what you hear from Apple…
@danielpunkass How about paying to follow more than n people?
@rentzsch Were you expecting it to just deregister the store? The docs for migrate sort of imply deletion. Weird inconsistency, though.
My updated iPhone text editor comparison. Spoiler: now using Notesy. http://mjtsai.com/blog/2...
@danielpunkass Is there no way to brute-force it via a USB connection or something?
@invalidname I switched to MoneyWell from QuickBooks. But I would guess that it's not very similar to Quicken.
@invalidname I like MoneyWell.
@mikemccracken It used to work more often than not for me.
@jessegrosjean Would love to be able to jump between search results within PlainText documents.
eaglefiler EagleFiler 1.5.3: http://c-command.com/blo...
@bbedit Monaco 9. (Previously used ProFont 9, but too many weird OS X drawing problems.)
@wilshipley I probably wouldn't mind the lack of warning if the deprecation itself made some kind of sense. This is just weird.
Giving @notesy a try. Impressed that the developer responds quickly to e-mails.
@gittower Glad to hear that. Lack of single-line staging/discard was what kept me going to GitX now and then.
dropdmg DropDMG 3.0.6: http://c-command.com/blo...
Looks like the Firefox 4.0 release candidate still doesn't add back AppleScript support.
@siegel Yep. The windows and the balloons can't both have sharp corners at the same time.
@altimac I'm gonna try and fix mine with BBEdit, searching for ARCHS = "$(ARCHS_STANDARD_32_64_BIT)"
@altimac Xcode 3.2.6 still supports ppc, but it removes it from the standard list of architectures, so you have to re-add it to each target.
Why thank you, Xcode 3.2.6, for silently removing "ppc" from the Architectures of all my projects.
@gittower Looking forward to it!
@manton In a bizarre way, charging only $5 for Xcode 4 sort of devalues it.
@christian_beer Textastic, as far as I could tell, is not an *iPhone* text editor.
My comparison of iPhone text editors: Droptext, Elements, Locayta Notes, Nebulous Notes, PlainText, Simplenote: http://bit.ly/hXzmD3
@AndreBrown99 Yes, LocNotes is a contender.
@retrophisch Is that the one with the purple keys?
@retrophisch Working on it…
Simplenote was having some problems with their server provider. Syncing is working better now (except modification dates don't work).
Starting up Classic. It's been a while!
Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter Firmware Version 1.03: http://support.apple.com...
@alan_schmitt Thanks, but Elements does not show search results within a file. I guess I should clarify all this in a blog post.
@wooliegeek Thanks. That's what I figured. I'm kind of surprised that made it through the App Store approval process, though.
@Avatron I see that there's also a "support software" .dmg. Is that required for use, or is it something extra?
@simplenoteapp Yep, I e-mailed premium support yesterday. John is currently investigating my ticket.
@retrophisch Yeah, I thought Dr. Drang did all the work, but I guess this will turn into a blog post unless Simplenote support has a fix.
@leebennett There is (or was) another Mac on your Bonjour network with the same name.
@wooliegeek Textastic has no iPhone version.
@ThomasBrand Yes. Elements is good but can't browse search results within a file.
@morrick Thanks. That's actually what got me started on this search. None of those can both search and sync properly.
@fab1An Textastic doesn't seem to have an iPhone version.
Locayta Notes can search, but it has no font, sorting, or folder control.
@danimal Elements searches within files to show you which files match, but it doesn't let you jump between matches within a file.
Looking for a Dropbox-aware iPhone text editor that can search within files. Why is this so hard? (Found Simplenote but syncing unreliable.)
@siegel Great, isn't it?
