@ctp Too bad he doesn't blog more.
@iacas Right: a project or a multi-document window. I just use Command-N and (optionally) Move To New Window (Command-Option-O).
@iacas Document adds it to the current front window.
And the Web page only says 3.1.
Bad NetNewsWire. 3.1.7 available from Sparkle but not the Web site.
@mgrimes I like seeing keywords and strings colored the same as during normal editing. Otherwise, I'd prefer green and red like Trac.
@mgrimes Nothing wrong with Changes, but I don't see anything to win me over from BBEdit's diff window. I like syntax coloring...
Anyone want to beta test BBAutoComplete for BBEdit 9?
@siegel Very nice, and congrats on 9!

Writing a script to generate licenses for @sethdill.
What if you don't support Silverlight or Quartz Composer?
@grynspan There are 4 * 13 characters of whitespace, so the line begins in column 52+1.
@grynspan 4 spaces per indent. Code from http://code.google.com/p...
If a line begins in column 53, you need to refactor.
Wouldn't it be nice if something like this were built into the OS? http://code.google.com/p...
@retrophisch Congrats! (I never got the tweet via SMS; must have messed something up.)
@schwa Agreed.
@schwa Yes, but you could just add a HOM for creating an NSInvocationOperation. Do you have more than half a dozen uses for invocations?
@schwa Why do you need to make the invocation and grabber explicit? I think it's cleaner to use a trampoline: [[target onMainThread] method]
@mountaineerdave SpamSieve isn't supposed to appear in any Thunderbird menus.
@mmc No reason to use Java, but should it be a scripting language or C? :-)
@fraserspeirs Yep. Although it includes a nice script for combining PDFs.
@kcase Looking forward to trying that syncing optimization.
@BaxterG4 They wouldn't be; that's why apps would add buttons to copy text that isn't detected.
@schwa OK, but then you'd get each app inventing a Copy button.
@onecrayon My apps ask InternetConfig which downloads folder to use. It should be settable in Safari. If it doesn't work, please e-mail me.
@mgrimes Thanks. I'll have to check that out. Looks nicer than Files.
@onecrayon Pick a different downloads folder?
@sethdill Although said rule might be disabled if you had trained a message from that address as spam.
@sethdill Unless you've turned auto-training off, there should be an auto-created whitelist rule for that address.
@sethdill Seems unlikely. Is that really what the log says?
Ran into Time Machine problem (http://tinyurl.com/6afcgb) but a restart fixed it.
I don't think I've ever had an incident that was useful. Need seeds, though.
@danwood Not magic, but it's easy to write a helper class to act as the perform's target, call the desired method, and record exceptions.
@mattgemmell FileMagnet doesn't do bookmarks.
@mattgemmell Files.app?
@mgrimes Finally!
@bwebster +1
@danielpunkass Congratulations!

You still owe Apple the 30% if the sale is refunded? Yet another reason to prefer PayPal.
The second restore lost my alarms, and PCalc wouldn't launch. Now everything seems to be back to normal.
Sync done, but now my iCal is totally messed up. Every day shows 15 duplicate copies of events from years ago.
Recovery done. Will skip syncing media until I'm sure it's stable.
Recovery mode again.
Still no word on why BoxOffice was pulled?
iPhone totally locked up, wouldn't reboot or show in iTunes. Restored, synced, home screen jumbled, doing the long backup. Want TM for it.
@mgrimes The iPhone app or the desktop app? The desktop has always synced fast for me.
@jsnell It's absolutely worth the time, but please let's stop saying "grep" when we mean "regex."
@adamengst (.*\r*.*)* is needlessly complicated to match. Try something like (?s).*
@leebennett Yes, that's what I see.
@leebennett iTunes is still confused, but the App Store on the phone isn't.
Finally got apps updated from the phone. 2.0.1 still doesn't preserve the positions on the home screen.
Updating apps from phone, App Store crashed at password prompt.
Deleted duplicate copies of apps, but iTunes' updater is still very confused. Says 2 are available, shows 12, 6 of which are duplicates.
@mattgemmell Good post, but why bother with the NDA bit when you have no idea what the reason is? You just assume there's one and it's good.
@retrophisch Nice post. I can't believe it's been 10 years. It's been great working with you.
