@PBones I guess Gondry likes tape. "Eternal Sunshine" had audio cassettes...
@danielpunkass Or if you want a spring-loaded drop target.
@danielpunkass Agreed. I suppose the other case is like Figure 14-28 in the 10.5 HIG where you want flexibility about which side it opens on
@danielpunkass That's different because the toolbar (bottom bar, too) is part of the window. Your pane is part of the window's content.
@danielpunkass Enlarging the pane then becomes a two-step process, whereas with a drawer you could just drag the drawer.
@danielpunkass Also, maybe you want resizing the window to resize the main content area, keeping the auxiliary pane constant.
@danielpunkass Because the precedent (e.g. Preview in 10.5) is that showing the split pane doesn't resize the window.
@ddribin I think I had that with 10.5.0 or the prior seeds. Not lately, though.
@ddribin Does it panic on wake or just refused to wake? I've had the former many times on 10.5.1 and twice on 10.5.2.
@danielpunkass It just means you'll have one clean (but slightly stale) inbox and another that you should ignore.
@danielpunkass My question was taking that as a given. Using a secondary inbox won't change that, though.
@danielpunkass So you receive lots of new mail between checks, and you don't mind waiting until the next check to see it?
