Does louder volume in 1.1.1 mean that the increments will be even larger than before?
I seem to be getting more tech support questions from people who are relatively new to the Mac.

@leebennett Sounds likes bug in ME since the default shortcut for BR is Command-Enter.

@leebennett I used to use WindowShade, but I stopped with OS X and actually don't miss it.

I guess this explains why I blew through 4 phone surge protectors this summer.
The phone was down because there were phone wires nearby in the ground.
Phone/DSL and power are restored. The transformer was broken and arcing into the ground.

@retrophisch Right. Several have required warranty service during year 1. After year 3, AppleCare wouldn't have helped, anyway.

@leebennett I put my RAM back in, plugged in back into the original UPS, and plugged in the drives, and now it seems to be back to normal.
Several hours later, the iMac spontaneously started up, while I was on the other side of the room.

The iMac appears to be dead.
TidBITS redesign looks nice, but feels ad-heavy. Seems more like a group blog than a weekly newsletter.
