Finder Keyboard Shortcut to Show Invisible Files

macOS 10.12 #protip: Finder supports ⇧⌘. to toggle visibility of hidden files, just like Open/Save panels have for a while.

That’s Shift-Command-Period.

Just tried it and it doesn't seem to work with Sierra on my new iMac.

@Scott I’m not sure why. It does work for me with 10.12.1.

I've taken the liberty of writing this up here:

... but in summary this has always worked on open/save dialog boxes, but the fact it works in Finder windows is new to macOS Sierra.

@Scoot It depends on your keyboard layout/language.
