Type2Phone

Type2Phone is a nifty app that uses Bluetooth to let you type (or paste) text from your Mac to your iPhone (via Nicholas Riley).

Update (2013-04-15): More from Adam C. Engst.

Could be a nice way to test keyboard support, and automate that, when developing an iOS app, without the need for an extra bluetooth keyboard.

@charles Yes, I like being able to use the same keyboard without pairing/unpairing.

It's particularly useful when you have a laptop and an iPhone but no WiFi or tethering.

It has pretty decent AppleScript support and even the ability to trigger VoiceOver functions, which could be useful for testing. (The VoiceOver functions map to key codes: http://forums.houdah.com/post/show_single_post?pid=1277150277).

It also supports the Apple TV, which I haven't had a chance to try out yet.
