Adobe Reader 8

John C. Welch doesn’t like the installer or the fact that Reader isn’t universal. The thing I found strange was that the installer immediately starts installing in /Applications as soon as you double-click it. It doesn’t ask where you want to install it, or even for confirmation that you want to install. Reader 8 seems much faster than 7, but the interface is very Windowsy.

It also replaced the PDF viewer plugin in Safari with its own.. which I did not know it was going to do.. and proceeded to cause problems.. I ended up removing it from the systems internet plugin folder.

Have you ever successfully "un-installed" Reader 8? Theres been a lot of gripe about a the lack of an uninstaller and people getting stuck with copies wedged in their system.
